Students are able to supplement their application with a standardized test. If students choose to submit a standardized test, they should submit test results according to the grade to which they are applying:

9TH AND 10TH GRADE APPLICANTS:
Submit scores for the SSAT or ISEE

11TH GRADE, 12TH GRADE, AND POSTGRADUATE APPLICANTS:
Submit scores for the PSAT, SAT, or ACT

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AT ALL GRADE LEVELS:
Students whose native language is not English and who do not attend a school where English is the primary language of instruction are asked to take the TOEFL iBT, the IELTS, or the Duolingo English Test. As a guideline, most international students who are admitted to Andover score at or above: 100 on the TOEFL iBT, 7.5 on the IELTS, or 125 on the Duolingo English Test. If you are unable to submit the TOEFL iBT, IELTS or Duolingo English Test due to financial concerns or COVID-19 restrictions, please email us or call us at (978) 749-4050 and we will be glad to assist.
